Looking for a new daily driver to compliment the F430 coupe and F430 spider.

    What are your thoughts?

If you want something the compliments your other cars then get a Quattroporte. I think an M6 would make a better daily driver than a Vantage but a Vantage is probably more fun. I think overall, the best value would be the Vantage, though. If you are looking at the M6 also think about a 750. A lot like the M6 but better fuel economy, more luxury features. It really depends on your specific needs, IMO.

Thanks. I want something that is satisfying to drive and unique. Driving dynamics are key - and usable power thruout a wide torque band.

I am not looking to replicate the F430, but want something I can basically also beat on daily and feel good doing it.

I work at a BMW dealership, and have driven and ridden in the M6s many times. They are very fun cars. Extremely nimble and full of power. You can relax and drive normally in the car, then you can floor it and hear it scream. It has two personalities based on the way you drive it. A tame and relaxed cruiser, and a wild and powerful beast. The SMG is very good and smooth. I definitely suggest you drive one to see if it fits your style.

I cannot say how it compares to the AM Vantage because I have no experience with them.

I have to say M6. I saw a white one tonight, that had black deep dish rims with chrome lips, and blacked out lips. It looked AMAZING. I havent driven one yet, but a friend has one that I have been in many times, and every time, its power and speed amazes me. Not to mention the sound, it sounds great.

In the M6 you're still driving a 6'er. In the Aston, well its an Aston. I have driven neither but M6 sounds like your car from a driver perspective. If you want something rare, go with the Aston.

The Aston will do more time in the shop but is the more exotic of the two.

My friend bought the Aston and really loves it. It's a tad quirky, but hey it's English. ;) The car is difficult to get in 2nd gear, but only when it's cold. It drives great and sounds even better. I have 3 friends that are having nightmares with the M5. I don't know if the M6's are having issues as well. The Bimmer has tons of power and also looks very elegant. I think both will take a pretty good beating value wise. Tough call but you probably can't go wrong between those two cars.

if you want that "stare" factor that comes along with more exotic cars, like ferraris or lambos, then go with the aston. their beautiful cars. i haven't done much research on the m6, but from what i hear it's an awesome machine.

i know this doesn't help your cause, but i wouldn't mind having either of them, but if you really have to get an answer out of me, i would go with my gut and say go with the aston.

Nothing better like a M6...More HP...and the price is lesser.

I think the M6 would make more sense as a daily driver.

The 6 series attracts very little attention so spirited driving may not be as obvious to your local state trooper.

My dd is an M6. It's pretty fun and now you can get 50hp with just pulleys and headers. Don't consider it without full leather, however.

Jamie - Thanks - would that be the Merino option?
