Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole after reading things i have onwww.pistonheads.com . However the three main threads where things were said have been totally removed - which should tell you a lot.

I do know he advertised an Enzo for sale with a close up of a model Enzo, trying to make it look like a proper one.

I have spoken to him when he had a place in Manchester, I nearly struck a deal with him but I pulled out something not quite right nothing major though. Since, I have heard alot of stories about him not going to post them, but I wouldnt say he is anything worse than the average car sales man selling top end cars.

    Not much help sorry..

Oh, a model of an Enzo. How ambitious!! Thank's alot for your comment, we'll se if i book the planeticket to go and look at it. Just hope that the car is in 1:1 scale! :) It's rather difficult to fit in a 1:43...

I bought a car from him in November but only after a lot of careful background checking. Like you I researched him and got plenty of warnings. My car was a distress sale (divorce) and the owner wanted to shift it quickly at a bad time of year and had ggiven it to him to shift fast. I checked out the story by contacting the owner direct. But to ensure it was a good car I made him take it to a good independent that I trust (R&D in Manchester) for a full written report (approx £200) . Everything they pointed out I made him fix - including a new windscreen at £3k. The work that he did non it was of good quality, but I made sure to specify exavctly what I needed doing
The tips I got was not to expect ANYTHING in the way of aftersales, and don't pay him until the car is EXACTLY how you want it.
He is full of bulls**t (he has 2 Enzos in his garage etc etc) but focus only on the car and the deal and I got what I needed. Also, avoid collecting the car on a weekend, and give it a thorough going over and test drive, and be prepared not to pay until its exactly what you want. In the end I got a great car at a decent price, but thanks to homework. Be warned!!! I'm not surprised to hear the guy has been to prison - if true - so be ultra cautious and trust your gut
