lol... hes done. No way should he ever be allowed to play again. At least it was his back and not head he struck. Imagine this in the nhl and what the suspension would be.

 

That is brutal. Should be a lifetime suspension.

 

As one of many who played some hockey here this is horrible. The tough hits, the cheap shots (at times), the hacking, and the fights are part of the game. This is assault with a weapon and should be treated as such.

This has no place in the game. I don't see a life time suspension, sadly, but he will get a stern one.

Not the worst I've seen (seen = been on the ice for either as a player or a ref). Not by a country mile.

 

Not as bad as the goalie that has his neck sliced open and bleeding everywhere on the ice.

Yes, that was the most gruesome thing I've ever seen happen on the ice. Not this hockey stick thing as players wear pads that cover shoulders, chest, and back to avoid injury from flying pucks getting knocked down by other players.

 

I agree. It was devastating to see this as a youngster (I was 14 when this happened and an avid fan at that young age)

 

Similar thing happened to Richard Zednik of the Florida panthers a few years back. He had the ability to skate over to the bench and get off the ice.
