AMAZING car chase show at Disney

This is nuts! Pretty talented drivers there. Don't they even do this performance a few times a day? The cars are sweet and look very euro

 

They do several shows a day. The cars are debadged Opel Corsas running Hayabusa bike engines in a RWD setup, with some funky crashbox transmissions. I got to play with one some years back.

 

Its amazing how they can do that, wet roads are so unpredictable.

 

Amazing talent in that whole group of drivers.

Simba, thanks for that info on the show cars - I was intrigued to read about them being rwd and having Busa engines.

 

Was this in Disney in France because I remember seeing a very similar show there.

i shot a video of that when i was down there earlier on this year. cars that reverse over jumps are actually just composite bodies facing the wrong way. they are actually driving forward. I'll capture and post eventually.

 

Yeah, one of the red "hero" cars is set up to drive "backwards", though it's more than a flipped shell. The engine's in the front with the driver facing rear so the weight distribution is correct and the stunt is consistent.

 

wow, one mistake and all of those guys would be in big trouble, props to those guys
