It could take a few seconds for the download to start loading, but I got a steady flow of 250kb/s.

WARNING! File size is 125MB! But worth every MB IMO!

Note: When you right-click save as, at least on my computer, the window freezes for about 10 seconds, this is normal just be patient and you'll be able to start downloading.

Very cool video. Is that you driving? Whomever it is sure holds there own in a 355!

The 333SP's ability to just tear away at any given time is just incredible. I don't think the driver of it had anywhere near the capability that you do in the 355, otherwise we would not be seeing him very long in the same camera shot.

I can't download the video from the office, but considering the URL, I assume it is FChatter Jon Kofod in his 355C?

I was just looking for videos of 333SP videos and I came across this.

Hope he doesn't get mad, videos like this are meant to be viewed by car lovers like us!

He can have all the credit, I just want to enjoy the vids.

Please download them all you want. That's what they are there for.

Here is the event page. There are a few longer version from the event which you are free to download. My only request is that you please "right click" and save so that my bandwidth doesn't get used up.

The video is from 03 at Watkins Glen in my 355 Challenge. The driver of both the 333 SP and the F40 LM is an older gentleman.

    Awesome, I love it all.

By the way, did you do the editing with the main video of 120MB? Cause if you did, nice choice in Filter - The Only Way Is The Wrong Way.

Also, sorry to nag with the questions. Why get rid of the F355 Challenge? Pick up something better?

Yes I got the idea for using Filter from the original Hummer commerical which used the song. I do all the editing with a Dazzle (to download the video) and Pinnacle Systems Studio 8 to edit the video footage.

You can see all my videos at : www.flatoutracing.net click on "videos". Most are non-Ferrari videos.

355 Challenge was a great car, but at the time I was doing a dozen weekends per year at track events in the 355 and another dozen or so doing club racing (in another car).

I never had any intent to race the 355 because of the costs involved and it came down to a choice between track days/FCA events and racing. My ulitmate goal is to race in the Grand Am Rolex series in a year or two and do the 24 Hour (which I just returned from).

The 355 C is an awesome car but at most track events it was getting harder to find cars to play with because most people are just there to have fun.

My current race car is not nearly as fast but you get a different type of adrenaline rush racing wheel to wheel at 130 mph vs. just cruising by yourself at 150-160 mph.

I am hoping to get a Radical SR3 in a year or two to replace the rush of pure speed missing from my current ride.
    Regards,

    Jon

Ah, I understand what you mean. Even in that video with the 333SP, it didn't look like the guy was pushing the car at all.

The Radical SR3 is an amazing tracking car, ever also consider the Ariel Atom? It's quite the rocket with it's Honda Civic Type R engine.

    Their website is here: http://www.arielmotor.co.uk/

The highest end model they offer is equipped with a supercharged Civic Type R engine with acceleration speeds of 0-60MPH in approx 2.9s.

Top Gear did a test of the car and it lapped 2nd fastest overall being just behind the Ferrari Enzo and ahead of the Porsche Carrera GT.

It's quite the track day rocket. If you're looking for something along those lines, that is.

Wonderful talking with you and by the way you handled that F355 Challenge extremely well when you had it! I'll be sure to download more vids.

great vid, the way you kept up with the f40 was impressive. it only got away in the short straights.
    thank you for sharing!

btw: radical sr3 is a great track car, but sr8 will be killing. also, as a bang fot the buck car, you should take a look at the ultima gtr IMO.

    regards, stijn :)

I've spent about 20+ hours in two different SR3's. A friend of mine is setting up a distributorship here in the US in my area. I was hired to be his chief test and development driver last year for both cars and to also give potential customer rides in the car.

I am very impressed with the SR3 and have to say it's on the list of candidates. The SR8 will undoubtedly be even better but I want a car to race and do track events and the SR8 will not be classes for club racing here in the states as it will be too fast.

Why the hell would someone put this video to music (bland and boring music, at that)? I was so stoked about watching the video, and, when it finally loaded, was utterly let down by the fact I couldn't really hear the cars!

Aside from that, it's not nearly as exciting a video as we were lead to believe. I'd much rather watch those old vids of the F355 driver (was that the late Mumford?) following an F50GT on some track out West. Glorious sound, with no craptastic music to get in the way :)

If you go to the event page that Jon posted you can see all the highlight clips seperately without music.

You seem to be a bit harsh on one of Ferrarichat's most respected members. The music isn't that bad or Hummer wouldn't have used it and most people on this board have nothing but positive things to say about Jon's videos.

In any event I prefer Jon's videos without music as well and usually he has version with and without music.

I forgot that I had moved some of the videos to another server. Most clips can be downloaded at: http://www.flatoutracing.net/movies/cd7/

These are the videos on the event page. However, they are on a backup server so downloading them will take quite a while.

GTE: Yes I am an Albers fan. Watched him for two seasons in DTM as well as German F3/F3000 and think he has a lot of talent. As you must know he doesn't bring much money to the table and therefore has been overlooked by most of the F1 teams.

I think he has real talent, similar to Heidfeld but won't get a decent ride to show it.

I also like his helmet design and am considering replacing my "Wurz" design with Albers since it seem Wurz will race in F1 again.

bripab007: Sorry you don't like the music. I only have so much server space and these videos are pretty old. I took down most of the non-music versions to save space.

    Regards,

    Jon

Jon, nice to see Christijan getting some recognition across the boarders. I met him once at the taping of a TV-show, and he is a real nice guy. I hope he does well. Perhaps Minardi can keep the Jordans behind, now that their new contender is rumored to be something special.

now i'm done hijacking this topic.
