Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance (car photos)

What wonderful pictures, and sounds. The Veyron sounded awesome-all 16 cylinders, the bus was huge, the Ferrari Challenge incredible, Jay Leno's Stanly Steamer drove right by me on the grass with not much sound at all and water pouring out the tail pipe.

The best part for was the CAN-AM event at the hotel, with 15 CAN-AM stars, including Jackie Oliver, Brian Redman, George Fullmer, Vic Elford, and you name it. Great stories told first hand...RM Auction, 2.5 250 SWB, 950K Shelby 350R, around 1.6 or 1.8 Cobra race car. Ron Finger from Savannah displayed his unique Cobra with the most complete Drag Racing history of all the Cobras and so on.

Great shots and it looks lika a terriffic venue. Especially appreciated the GM bus. I assume that was the $4M one from the Barrett Jackson Auction. Thanks for the post.

 

Holy shnikees 2 Veyron?????????? Dammit I need to get down there one of these years. Anyone want to make a run down there??? I'm down! I really need to commit to this one one year....
