I went with my 15 yo son, we had a great time. Amazing cars, and weather held out.
The Ferrari 250 GTO was a special treat.
Seeing Sir Sterling Moss and the collection of cars he raced, including the GTO, was very special.

I am from Jacksonville and moved away about the time they started doing this. I will definitely have to make it there in the next year or so. Thanks for posting info.

I try to make it there every year (for many years now), haven't ever been disappointed. Plenty of beautiful cars, motorcycles, beautiful setting and weather. The food on OTOH was awful for a high priced event.

The best part for me however was that my wife seemed to enjoy herself in spite of not being a real "car' person and initially complaining of having to go (my friends wife went so she felt obligated). She was nice enough to go off on her own and not get upset when I stopped to look at, photograph and read about cars that interested me.

I recommend it for all car guys and girls.

I have gone for the past 8 years- every year my wife hates it, but not this year, we stayed 4 nights at the Ritz, concierge level, wife and I had the best time. Met Sterling Moss. Great time! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Overpaid for a speedster- had to have it. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Wow! Now THAT gentlemen, is how one does Amelia properly.

I've got to ask, how did you manage to get a room at the Ritz, and on the club floor no less? I have heard there is an eternal waiting list on top of a double-secret waiting list complete with secret handshakes and such.

Thankfully my wife enjoys (tolerates?) the Amelia weekend, and her one goal for this year was to get a picture with Wayne Carini....she loves his show. She never did run into him though, and will be very jealous of your pic.

I did get a chance to shake Stirling's hand and breifly say hello, which was a high honor indeed for me. He's still got a hell of a grip!

P.S. cool speedster btw, those are such neat cars.
