Wow, ridiculous. There are some way way way way (X 1000) better judges they could have chosen from. 12 million for her lame opinion of saying some 2 liners about something.

Will she play nice, or will she be the new Simon and be a b**ch.

She is no comparison to Simon, he made the show. Especially with his ***** attitude, but the difference is Simon knows what he is talking about.

I don't care too much about the judges themselves but rather how many of them there are: the show got really tedious with four of them chiming in

    Go back to three
    One honest bad ass
    One feelgood
    One technical

    Ellen and Diguardia were useless

The bigger indicator that AI is dead would have to be the non-interest in their touring shows. Once a season ends, so too go the careers. Cowell recognized that early on, which is why they tinkered with the judge format. 3 months ago Lee DeWyze owned the city, making high-profile appearances all over the place. Last week a guy I know posted his own video of DeWyze appearing at an ice cream shop in the suburbs. Idol has become more about the in-season drama than the end results. After all, how many singers do we need belting out cover songs?

I didn't realize this thing was still on the air. After their winners from the first few seasons didn't make it to superstar status (except 1st one), I figured they would can it.

From this series, i think only Kelly Clarkson and Chris Daughtry actually made it. The rest, i'm not sure...

Carrie Underwood is now a mega star! I suspect that Simon will make guest appearances off and on to help keep the show interesting...

I've heard some of her stuff...didn't think she was on the show. One of my friends looked like the guy Rubin (last name starts with an S). Anyway, back in college, people would ask him if he was that guy, LOL! Before that show, he would get asked if he played for the football team (Florida Gators) instead.

The ice cream shop story is pretty funny. I always thought they lied to the contestants telling them that their lives would change. That's only true for the winner and runner up.

In the list of successful idols let's not forget Adam. Best idol contestant ever.

These talent shows have been going on since the beginning of television.

What made Idol different? Simon Cowell. He was just blunt to the extreme and painfully honest. It's why they made him last of three to comment. Who cared about the other two -- the only realy thing that matters is what Cowell says.

Cowell was an honest look at what happens in the real industry everyday. No sugar coating... it's just business.

Without Cowell, it's a goner. People love to jeer the villian.

Clay Aiken made it, even thought he wasn't first place. Ruben something was.

Now that JLo is on it, the only way I will watch is if they take away the judges chairs and make them stand...
