Hey, Craig...I didn't know you also played on the American heavy metal team. Nice GTO. I love the '66-'67 bodies
Thanks, John. Believe it or not, this thing can really handle and stop. It has an AGR fast ratio steering and pretty much feels like a modern car. Greatest father/son project. I highly recommend to all fathers to take on such a project, or any fun project, with your kids. We did one for my son, a '72 SS 350 Nova. He still has it 12 years later. I could throw away my '68 Chevelle and still feel it was worth every penny! The pick is of my son with the chassis during break-down and packing it off to the powder coating facility. great life lessons he'll remember that for his entire life congrats on raising your son right! I still remember taking apart my car with my dad's "advice"
I think you meant 66? Black grille vs chrome, straight rocker stainless vs. "coke bottle", louvered taillights vs windows. Here are a couple of my Fords. (I am not a Ford fan, but I love these two cars, especially the "Indian Fire Red" 1969 Mach 1). Factory 4 speed with A/c, pretty rare combo. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Me too. I loved working on cars, the house, just about anything with my dad. Occasionally, and much to his chagrin, I would take things apart without his consent...lawn mowers, typewriters, stereos, the list goes on. But the learning from those experiences was great. I tried to do the same with my son and daughter.
Here's the first passion I was able to Satisfy... since first getting my driver's license I've driven Mopar convertibles - This is what I always aspired to and found it in 2002. 1967 Plymouth Satellite convertible. 1 of 107 delivered. Bought from it's second owner in Golden, CO and driven 2,000 miles home. Factory 383/2bbl, column shift 727, 3.23 open diff. 15.49sec 1/4mile stock. Took home it's first trophy from Lebanon Valley Dragway this fall. http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd133/nervitbreath/67%20Satellite/IMG_3625.jpg
