My brother bought this car in 1970 at City Chevrolet in Great Falls Montana when he was on leave during his stint in Vietnam. I owned it for a few years in the mid 70's and then back to him. It was originally an RS/SS, custom int. with a 375 horse 396 with rock crusher 4spd and aluminum heads. The original motor was blown in 1973, what else is new, and was replaced with a 327 365 horse from a 65 corvette. He replaced that with another 396 and put the heads back on. To bad he did not save the big block SS hood. My brother passed away in August and I have inherited the car, nice to keep it in the family. Have owned and enjoyed 5, Boss 302 Mustangs over the years. The very best rear end ratio to get in a Boss 302 , is the 3:91. The 430's are a bit too deep for highway driving, and one of my cars had the 3:50 ratio, the Boss really likes to rev, and with the 3:50 ratio, it seemed to never in the rpm band those motors like to run at. Awesome, fun cars!

Here is one of two Plymouth Satellite's we own to keep our Italians in good company. I've had a 30-year passion for Satellites and feel lucky to have networked long enough to attain these two. This one is a '65 hardtop ordered from Max Barish Plymouth in Los Angeles by Nathaniel Anschuler in November 1964 for his wife Bertha. He ordered it with AC, tinted glass, power windows, vinyl top, bumper guards, retractable seat belts, center console, dash clock and courtesy light package. It passed on to their sons, then an uncle and came to me in 2006 by way of Boston MA and Delhi NY. I spent 2007-2013 restoring it 95% stock appearing. The 361 big block got rebuilt with .010 overbore, a mild cam, porting, alum pistons and compression bumped to 9.4. She dyno'd a healthy 276hp@4500 and 381ft/lbs@3500 through the factory Carter 2bbl to the 727TorqueFlite and a 2.76:1 open diff. Perfect for family cruising. The suspension got front discs and front & rear sway bars. We have the original dealer order form, purchase invoice, window sticker and broadcast sheet. Unfortunately Nathaniel and Bertha both passed away in 2007, only a few months before I tracked the family down. I've been able to send their sons some pics though, and hope they may send me some history. Very happy with this keeper. Here is our second Satellite, this one is a 1967 convertible that originated in Greenwood, CO. I found it for sale in Golden, CO in very late 2001. I flew out to Denver, rented a car, inspected and test drove it for a day & made the purchase. I flew back in March 2002 after securing plates and insurance, and drove the 2,000miles home to New York. "Junior" is also a customer-ordered car like the '65. It is 1-of-96 convertible Satellite's built for 1967 with the 383/2bbl. These days "Junior" sports a 4bbl Carter AVS good for a 15.5sec 1/4mile letting it shift through the TorqueFlite with a 3.23 open diff. Could do better, but it's now retired from strip duty. He was ordered with a passenger side mirror, white convertible top, AM/FM radio, dash clock. It's a column shift with front armrest/buddy seat instead of a console. The 383 is original and stock. The rims are not original, but later vintage 'Magnums' with stainless trim rings. The car has been repainted once in the original color. He earned a trophy for "Top 10 by Popular Vote" at the Hemmings Musclepalooza 2012. This was a "bucket list" car for me and definitely a keeper.
