As much as I like Exotics, I still want a car with a blower and a huge lumpy cam.

The gt40 has a 306 sbf in it right now. I am building a larger ally motor for it at the moment. Too many toys, not enough time and money!! ;o) S

Very cool. I bet it's a blast to drive even with a 306.

I think the grass is greener syndrome is my problem. I haven't lived with an exotic, but I will.
I would be complete (gearhead wise) if I had both.
I love the refinement and experience of the Ferrari.
I also love my twin 3" exhaust and shrill blower belt whine as I try to cruise and innocently play 'not the most obnoxious car on the road'

It's just a hotrod and built for a look and the sound. I'm not going to race it and probably won't develope it any further. My engine builder estimates 650hp 800ft/lb.

That's a strong spec, plenty to burn some tires. That's what muscle cars were built for. Cruise and burn rubber. I bet it puts a smile on your face just hearing the whine.

All muscle cars should be classified as hybrids, they burn gas AND rubber. 😎

I was chatting to a guy recently about hybrids and he was telling me your average Prius to build, maintain and then finally dispose of the thing makes a much worse carbon footprint than my dirty old muscle car will ever do in its life
Not sure how accurate that statement was but I like it.

Celebrating her 25th birthday places her in Historic Muscle status. But still my idea of an American Muscle Car.

'65 Corvette Big Block Coupe. First year of the BB in a C-2. Production during the last 6 months of the model year. 813 Coupes were fitted with the 396ci/425hp engine.

This car was a repaint in '79. Interior is original to the car. Two Tone Red/White Leather which is a rare combination along with the engine option.

Bloomington Gold (former owner) and NCRS Top Flight (during my tenure with the car).

    Numbers matching car.

Im thinking of buying a Camaro rs or z28 from the late 60's early 70's are certain years better then others for value? where is the best place to look for such a car? thanks

Oh there is ones more desirable than others. First I would start with a budget. What will you spend tops? Then do you like the first gen (67-69) or second gen (70's)? Once you decide those two things then I think we can help. For info I would go to the Camaro forum and research. I love the 1st gens and only the split bummer 2nd gens myself. Plus I would want a big block or go all out and get a restomod that has modern running gear in it and you can drive cross country with. You can find those at RS Motors in Charlotte. But they do costs more than a stock one. Go take a look and it might help you in a direction.
