It had been a while since I had looked at the magnificent book American Racing with Tom Burnside images and Denise McCluggage text. What an amazing period and Tom's images make me feel like I was there! (well, I wish!)

In looking at the great photos of the lesser known venues (by international standars) it made me think that there's got to be more pictures out there somewhere in photo albums of this great period. I'm talking about the weekend racers in Southern California and the MidWest.

Can anyone point the way to find the great Ferraris in their second and third lives before they got "rescued" and given a new lease on life? Lets see those 166MMs, TR's, GTO's and SWB in service under the hands of the weekend warriors.

Forgot to mention that the book Metal Memory and Joel Finn's book on the TR has some great stories and images too!

Thanks Cliff, great images for sure! Maybe I'll see you at Amelia Island with some of those fine cars.
