I know this problem has been addressed many times and many of you have posted great ways to repair the door connector. The door connector on my 348 only has 2 broken AMP connectors and I only want to replace the two that are bad. My question for you is does anyone have a way of getting new connectors? or know of anyone that sells them? I have searched all the old threads and the internet with no luck. I know some day I will have to replace the connector and hardwire the door but for now I can live with the connector repair. The weather is starting to get nice here in NY so I want to be out driving not taking the car apart. Thank you in advance for any help.

after checking the AMP number on the connector, the company told me they are not avaiable any more. Do any of you have another place that has them, I even offered to send him one so he could match it up but he stated there are to many and that was impossiable. Any ideas?

    Brian what dealer Ferrari??

I'm ex-Navy which makes me a master of mickey-mouse. I went to an auto parts store and purchased a generic pin set. I think they were GM. Worked like a champ.

Another source for amp pins is Digi-key. I found the connector for the 348 engine there, but they only have stuff that is still in production. Fwiw.

Yes, I deal primarily with Ronnie and Wade at Foreign Cars they are very helpful with these type of things. I buy the connectors in blocks of 10 at a time.

Brings back memories of when I first got my 348..... window issues, door lock issues - all from that "wonderfully" designed harness area going to the door. I ended up resoldering mine & got lucky I was able to repair 5 of the pins without needing parts... If memory serves me right I extended the wire a tad on them to prevent a repeat. If they had a tad more slack on them, this may have been avoidable..

Take a valium before commencing repair......you will need patience.

    Good Luck,
    Chris
