"An Evening with Steve Matchett" Dinner in Charlotte, NC

Hello all,

We would like to invite you to join us for "An Evening with Steve Matchett" presented by Hagerty Insurance. This is a repeat event by popular demand. The first was held on December 2nd and sold out within 48 hours.

Steve was a mechanic with the Benetton Formula 1 team from 1990 to 1998. In that time he prepared cars for such racing greats as Nelson Piquet, Riccardo Patrese, Martin Brundle, Johnny Herbert, Gerhard Berger, Jean Alesi, and not to mention Michael Schumacher during his first two World Championship seasons in '94 and '95.

In more recent years, you will remember Steve as an F1 commentator for both SPEED and NBC Sports along with Leigh Diffey, David Hobbs, Bob Varsha, and Will Buxton. He is also an accomplished author, including his "F1 Trilogy" of books - "Life in the Fast Lane", "The Mechanic's Tale", and "The Chariot Makers". For our special evening, he will be reading his story "Breaking Bread with Ayrton Senna" from his latest book "These Desired Things".

The event will feature a four-course dinner at Zio Italian Restaurant where they will be opening just for our group. Our guest of honor will be reading in three separate sections between courses. Everyone attending will be presented a special signed edition of the story.

As this will be an intimate setting, we will have a strict limit of 50 attendees and again will sell out.

The dinner will begin promptly at 6pm and will last approximately 3 hours. We are also doing an optional pay-as-you-go cocktail hour from 5pm - 6pm where you are welcome to come early, purchase a drink if you like, and mingle prior to the start time.

Penne Ala Vodka w/Grilled Chicken - OR - Beef Tenderloin Medallions w/Mushroom Merlot Sauce and Roasted Potatoes
