Jeremy Clarkson is the man...! I hope and dream to be half the journalist is; to be able to write with the same charm and charisma and humor would be awesome.

OMG -- thank you for that. If that doesn't epitomise him perfectly, I don't know what does. He is the perfect cure for all the political "correctness" going around these days. That, and BORAT! -- I saw Matt Lauer interview "Borat" this morning -- I haven't laughed so hard in a long time; Matt could barely maintain his composure.

Oh man, I loved the Borat interview too! Did you see when Chris was doing the weather and Borat swooped in for the double-cheek kiss? LMAO!!

And back on track, I love Jeremy Clarkson too. Too bad we don't get Top Gear anymore, :( I swear I've seen all their clips on YouTube 17 times each.

Clarkson is one of the wittiest and most intelligently-funny writers out there. I've been a hige fan of his writing since I was about 12 when I started reading his columns in Performance Car. It's a shame that sometimes Top Gear TV somes across as a bit 'dumbed down' compared to his writing (I guess TV shows have to have a broader appeal than a newspaper). His columns in the Sunday Times are always fantastic - I'm especially a fan of the column he does in the News Review section as in many instaces Clarkson is even more outspoken and funnier when not talking about cars. It's a shame that top gear magazine doesn't have as much of his influence as it did in the early days, but I love the issues when they give away copies of books full of his columns from over the years - he genuinely is a great writer

We were watching that and here they cut the interview off - we figured he said something that made them switch to something else during the 7 second delay...

Is it bad that I also downloaded that Journey song?

To reiterate what has already been said, Clarkson is a breath of fresh air in an increasingly pc world. I’ve had the good fortune to see him live at a few motor shows over the years. Now there he really is offensive.:D

Actually, there are a bunch of motojournalists who can write as good as or better than Clarkson. Sadly, though, they don't get to publish their best stuff. Why not? Well, it is kinda hard to be great when you have to write what amounts to glorified ad copy.

So kudos to him and his publishers for giving Jeremy the freedom to be funny and honest.

    A favorite Clarkson quote:

Supercars are supposed to run over Arthur Scargill and then run over him again for good measure. They are designed to melt ice caps, kill the poor, poison the water table, destroy the ozone layer, decimate indigenous wildlife, recapture the Falkland Islands and turn the entire third world into a huge uninhabitable desert - all that before they nick all the oil in the world.
