I want to invite anyone interested in a great opportunity to consign their important/significant watches with the renowned Sotheby's Auction House in NY.

I work with TTR Sotheby's International Realty in DC/VA/MD, the local Real Estate Affiliate with Sotheby's. We are holding an appointment only even at our office in Georgetown, DC. to meet with the fine watch specialist, and representative from the NYC Sotheby's Auction House, and discuss consignment in the upcoming Important Watches auction.

Appointments will be throughout the day Thursday, Sep. 20th. (I am sorry for the late notice). If you have some significant time pieces you would ever consider selling, you may already know, this is a really wonderful opportunity.

Please reach out to me via PM/Email with questions/details.

    Ron.

    Please define "important".

(and shouldn't this really be posted in the "Fine Watches, Jewelry, & Clothes" thread??)

    Thanks.

Important, referring to significant or valuable. (text pulled from the Sotheby's invitation)

I considered posting in the fine watch category, but this is really just a last minute tip to the local region. Appointments are being made for tomorrow only, in Georgetown, however I am sure they can make arrangements after tomorrows event.

I do not work with the auction house, nor do I have any connection or financial interest in the auction. It is simply a great opportunity to offer the community.

As tomorrow approaches quickly, anyone interested can feel free to reach out to me directly at [email protected]

I was curious too, so I did a little searching on the web.

Here is the Sotheby's website for the Important Watch auction held in Geneva.
    http://www.sothebys.com/en/auctions/ecatalogue/2012/important-watches/lots.list.1.html

The kinds of watches at that auction were: Jaeger-LeCoultre, Blancpain, Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, Cartier, Rolex, Ulysse Nardin, etc.

I assume the kinds of watches that will be sold at the NYC auction would be similar.

This is all true, however not limited to these brands either. There are of course others out there with significant value for other reasons other then the manufacturer. Generally, you know whether or not you have a significant watch, they are not necessarily seeking "Antique Roadshow" type unknowing seller's.

It really is a great way to sell your valuable timepiece, potentially for top dollar. - Just like a high end car auction.

I was just wondering if my G-P F360GT "Pit Crew" edition (one of 14) qualified.

Not that it's for sale (unless someone offered me really STUPID money for it - and "STUPID" would have to be *WELL* into 5 figures...), just curious.

You know, I am not sure. If you want to send me an email or PM I will gladly pass it along. Although, I would imagine you might have to be prepared to sell.

Thanks - really just curious and not prepared to sell. Didn't mean to waste your time.
