    One of my first posts was a photo of the part below which I found in the spare tire well, asking what it was. I guess the post was lost in the great fchat crash.
    The consensus was it didn't belong to my 308 so I filed it in the parts drawer under miscellaneous. I finally figured it out.

    It belongs on the spare tire mount plate as a cushion for the rim's center nose.

    without it, my spare suffered a few chips from being shifted around. It's back in place. My rim will be happier.

    Thanks. I don't think my 84 has that in it. I'll have to check the parts catalog now.

    It's not in my 81-82 parts book. I don't have a book for my '83 or an 84-85.
