So this is a 99 Diablo SV....very clean.....less than 7000 miles. But what's up with the sticky door handles? The pocket for your fingers, which is black on my red car, is almost gummy sticky....and getting worse. Is this a well known problem? Is that black material replaceable?

Go carbon fibre..and on the key button too..sorry don't have a close up photo, but I'm having them done on the '98 SV (they were sticky) and will match the roadster's....Sorry can't really see 'em in this pic, but trust me....

Interesting. My Gallardo inside door unlock button got sticky and is getting worse. Any fix for that or should I stop eating cotton candy. (Joking of course on the candy).

is this part one that could be removed, striped of the goo, and powdercoated??? $500 for carbon seems a tad steep......

Reminds me of a practical joke we played where I used to work. We'd go out with hand cleaner cream and fill the underside of the door handle. It was nasty to get a handful of that and the stuff stinks too. The problem is eventually everyone does it to everyone else so you cover the entire work force and then move on to other practical jokes.
