And I Thought Donks were the Worst!

A growing trend around here is drug dealers/rappers/wannabes putting comically big wheels on retired police cruisers, i.e. Crown Vics.

They leave the little spot light mounted on the driver's door, darken the windows, leave the big sway bars, etc and generally try to make the cars looks as police-y as possible except for the big wheels.

Is in SC, is this happening everywhere?

 

Not the Vics, but definitely lots of over-improved wheels on crapwagons. There's a custom shop behind my business that actually does a lot of high end work. You see some pretty nice cars roll in and out.

Nothing new, it's been going on for years here in North Texas. After the County / State is done with them cars like these are picked up extremely cheap from Auctions. I even thought about picking one up, painting it flat black like some sort of MAD MAX cruiser.

Stay away from retired cruisers unless you're parting them out. They're beat to hell.

 

Lots of Donks here in Nor Cal. Mostly Caprices, etc. Not too many Vics.

 

The other humorous addition to a variety of cars is what I call 'Buick Holes'. The 3 vents on the front fender that Buick has done forever, are turning up on Civics, Expeditions, and every other vehicle on the planet. I've even seen them on late model BMW's. Sad.

Was down in LA a couple of months ago.......saw Toyota Camry's with what must have been 24" rollers on them......Lexus SC400's.....guys probably were renting their wheels. Dumbest f-in thing I ever saw.
