I'm kind of excited about this one, even if it's a little out of the norm. 1/10th Carbon Fiber (pattern) Enzo R/C body from Tamiya (via ebay).

I plan on using this as a coffee-table decoration since I have *zero* interest in R/C cars (and it just looks too damn cool to scuff up). No decals on it except for the nose badge.

Does anyone have any ideas on a way to mount/display it?

I think that could be very cool mounted on the wall - either vertically or horizontally oriented - some nice indirect lighting and instant art.

Is it carbon or carbon "effect"?
It looks great though. Does the seller have more and what was the eBay number of your purchase?

    That's awesome.

I don't have any interest in R/C really either but for that I would make a exception.

Wow, I didn't expect this thread to get noticed until I posted my own pics. It actually was in my entryway when I got back home tonight! (That's Hong Kong to CA in 2 working days, 2 weekend days.. impressive!)

    Here's the actual auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5958358140

It's a carbon pattern.. knowing something about carbon fiber construction I figured that it would be near impossible to make something like this out of real carbon.

Enjoy! (I apologize for the 'mood' lighting in my home office.. I work under florescents all day).

Since you guys have touched on one of my many hobbies, thought I would share my Enzo too. I also had added a rear wing to produce some more down force. Too bad it has since been totaled.

    Oh...my...God. That is unbelieveable.
I would think simply a hardwood base with the body glued/nailed on would be the cat's ***! At least that is what I will do once I aquire one;)

To bad it isn't flexable. You could mold a giant chocolate Enzo if it was :)

I think I'm going to go with a black plexiglas sheet that's cut around the car and can simply slide on and off. The advantage to this is that it'll reflect the light up towards the car body.. Wood isn't my style. ;)

As for the chocolate idea, you can buy the non-carbon enzo body that's the same shape and go to town. It's flexible enough that you could probably pull it off without damaging anything.

Holy crap, I've got a Tamiya 1:10 RC sitting in my garage gathering dust. I think it needs a carbon Enzo body.

It is the wheel-base mesure ( in millimeters) for R/C cars.
