I remember a friend mine joking with me the other day about this car. We remembered seeing it listed in the Dupont Registry when we were kids in the early nineties. Was listed for big bucks and was being touted as the "Ferrari to tow your Ferrari" My have these plummeted LOL. I emailed this to my friend and he shot back, too bad we missed that one! I laughed and told him that we should buy a fleet of these things. Only problem is the exterior looks just like a Pathfinder!

When they came out in 85 they were different, all there was at that time was the Jeep Cherokee and the Ford- something or other. I remember driving the ford and it felt like it was going to flip over on every corner it took.

When they were introduced we towed a 289 Cobra to Willow Springs with a new one owned by Hollywood Sport Cars. At the time I thought it was a great option to a traditional truck, really liked it and at the end of the day I thought highly of it.
Fast forward to years later-I found one for sale, purchased it and was disappointed at how poorly it rode, how minimal its off road abilities were and the overall lack of build quality. I spent thousands with a LaForza specialist trying to make it right-when he observed that mine was a "good example", I realized that it was hopeless and sold the thing.
The Range Rovers I've owned before and after the LaForza experience were far superior in every way.
