I just happened to be over at my inspection station getting my truck inspected when the guy who I know doing the inspection told me to take a look at this Lambo he was working on. It was a 1991 Diablo that was owned by one of his customers. He told me he had a hell of a time driving it over to his place because it is so tight. He told me to get in and see. Well getting in was no problem but even with the steering wheel all the way up and the seat all the way back I still had a great deal of interference with the steering wheel. Also my size 13 shoes did not work to well with the gas and brake peddles. I would need special shoes to work them. As to the steering wheel I think if you put in a 1" spacer it would cure the problem but I don't know if the air bag would allow it. So compared to my 308 this was like sitting in a shoe box. I guess I had it better then I thought. By the way if I had a chance to drive it home I would have taken off my right shoe.

A place called the Sportsmans Guide has Piloti driving shoes for sale for $40. I bought a pair a while back and they are very comfortable for long drives, and have a narrow sole unlike most hiking/running/Nike/Addida shoes. Mine are red, and they drive my kids crazy because they say I look goofy (If only a change in footware would "un-goof" me in their eyes).

    Check them out:http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/search/search.aspx?r=MainHeader+KW+Box&s=&a=browse&k=driving+shoes

You might save enough money to afford that Diablo!

Try putting on a Countach... foot well is even more offset and small. Not to mention the wide sills that make the girls in short skirts very nervous.

That's a great deal! They are $80 on the Piloti website. I have two pair: one black "prototipo" and one pair of leather loafers, so my wife doesn't think I look "goofy". They are both very comfortable!

I bought mine at a local autocross shop that does race work on Miata's. When I asked the owner of the shop about the shoes, he said that's all he wears now and everyone in the shop even wore them as work shoes! I even use mine at the gym, they are so comfortable!

Was at a car show a while back where I tried on a RHD Pantera, I'm 6'2" and it was a shocker, offset pedal box & cramped. Getting back in the GT4 was like getting into the back of a limo after that thing.

Bit of a bummer though I've always wanted a Pantera.
