Tell Mr. Andretti we are drinking plenty of Andretti wine, down in Houston, Texas.

Remind him of the 308GTB "blessing" and tell him we made it all the way home without any problems! We even drove on to the the FFQC event!

We do need some more olive oil, the bottle blew up on the way thru Yosemite!

Hmm, Andretti's Winery... and the best way to attend would be to show up, methinks. Not into the whole seance, metaphysical thing.

Does the operation make money? I always wondered if it was a money-losing habit or a financially endearing one.

He'll spend most of his time in back with the Wine Club.

He came out at the end of the afternoon to look at the cars, and give the Ferrari group their photo ops.....

Copies of his autobiography are available for purchase in the gift shop and the wines are usually discounted to the club and can be drop shipped home.

Should have done that with the olive oil........LOL! They have that, along with balsamic vinegar in some very attractive bottles.

Also have some nice shirts and such there, he signed that, for me!

 

Mario's not in the habit of losing money, but it was obvious to me he really enjoys his visits and interaction with fans at this venue.....

A pristine restored historic Ford stakebed truck, an old guy playing Italian music on the accordian, I'm sure it reminds him of the short time he was raised in the old country. It's a very beautiful, laid back place.

I quizzed him pointedly on how much time he spends there...his response?

"All the time I can".......with a Chesire cat grin!!! 'Nuff said!

I'd imagine he's more successful than the winery's on either side of his........LOL!

It's actually very moderately priced .........I saw a Nickel & Nickel (Gil Nickel) at the store the other day, for five times the price of Andretti....

NEXT time I go to Napa, I'm definately getting the detailed county map.....LOL!

I didn't see a good one at the time, until I was beside Golden Gate Bridge in SF......watch out for lurking CHIPS also.....

We didn't know you didn't have to drink the whole glass, we were felling pretty good after a few hours.......eh, Vincent????

Mario will be there from 3-6 pm. It's a Thursday afternoon. $20 per person, $15 for wine club members, ? if you park your F-Car out front?

Mario is a nice guy. Met him a few times over the years that he and Michael were winning races in Long Beach for Newman/Haas. He showed up at all of the promotional events and was always friendly. Can't say the same for all of the drivers.
