No, not Mario, Michael or John: 18-year-old Marco Andretti won the St. Petersburg Infiniti Pro Series race in his first-ever start in the series. (And it was a good week for his dad as well: Andretti-Green Racing finished 1-2-3-4 in the IRL race that weekend!) Another "chip off the old block", it appears. No doubt he'll be in the Indy 500 within two years. Perhaps F1 someday, and I hope he learns from his dad's mistakes.
I assume his father is Michael ... thus he really should ignore what he says and listen to his Grand Dad! Michael was only ever 50% of the driver Mario was ... Pete
I think Michael was too wild really, but as fast as they came for his time. I think most drivers out there would be lucky to be 50% of what Mario was in his heyday.
Why do you say that? I'm not saying i don't agree, but i'm curious. At a cart race in 91 i was able to get all the Andretti's autographs except one can you guess who i missed? lol. Actually i lucked into getting Mario's, he wasn't a big signer those days either
I believe Michael Andretti once said he prefered the business aspect rather than the racing, its no surprise that Andretti Green racing is probably the top team in IRL right now.

Yeah, kinda what I expected. The only time I saw him at all, he was going out of his way to avoid the fans. Most everyone else was pretty cool though including Mario and AJ Foyt. Arie Luyendyk was cool too, he signed my program and went as far to wipe it on his leg before giving it back to me (it was raining).
