Annoyed by Yoshield experience

    I bought a pair of wing/fender YoShield shields for my 360 and they arrived here in the UK very quickly. Unfortunately one of them had a manufacturing fault whereby the green, white and red colours had paint missing at one end (about 1cm). I have tried contacting Yoshi over the course of nearly four weeks by telephone and FIVE emails but no reply has been received.

    What annoys me is that the sales part was very quickly processed (I wonder why!) but the return/replacement side has fallen upon deaf ears. I have now instructed my credit card provider to issue a chargeback. I'm very annoyed.

    Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks in advance.

    No, but something like that you'd think they'd eyeball before they pack it all up and ship it? Then to drag their feet making things right doesn't bode well either. Hopefully you get it sorted and it's a good thing you paid with your CC.

    YES!!!! I recently had the same experience. I had heard nothing but rave reviews of the shileds and the service. One of the shields he sent me worked perfectly and the other was clearly warped as it would not fit even with trying to manually bend it. I called him twice and emailed him several times....no response. That was a month ago. I'm pretty annoyed as well. I'm glad you posted this. I thought I was the only one with a bad experience with Yoshi.

    I recieved a set a several weeks ago (type B, 360) and one had a very small paint flaw. Yellow shows a hint of darker primer underneath, but only if you put your face right up to it. I e-mailed a request for replacement twice with no response (about one to two weeks ago). I decided to put them on anyway. They fit correctly and are very nice with the exception of the small paint flaw. I did take notice on his web page that he is frequently out of the country for work and unavailble during those times.

    I had an exchange once, and after some delay (he was out of the country) he got back to me and promptly handled the exchange (he apologized profusely). I have no idea what is going on, but I would continue trying and see if he responds. If not, then I guess the charge back is your only alternative, a shame. Yoshi should probably just hire someone to handle his web business when he is travelling, that would be the simplest solution.

    BTW, one comment on paint flaws...I have noticed that even the factory sheilds have a number of flaws when you examine them up close. I have seem paint bleed between colors and slight flaws in the yellow portion and other various things.

    i had a problem with one of my shields as well, after i had it on the car a few months. the paint washed off.. cloissonee ? i think not. i asked to get a replacement , with only an answer to sell one to me, future attempts no reply. ive been too busy to pursue it, and ended up taking the badges off the car.

    I would think they would too, but if not, they need to do something about their Quality Control.
    Or at least their customer support/service.

    I feel better about putting the flawed one on now knowing that can happen, thanks. they do look nice.

    I have had great experiences with Yoshi shields. On one set, the tape somehow came attached to the bubble wrap, making that shield un-usable. Called Yoshi, and he answered the phone. Sent out a replacement the NEXT DAY.

    consider his service, when he is in the country, excellent either via email or phone.

    THIS is a side business for him.

    BTW, can't account for his recent products as the last set was acquired about 8 months ago. They handle fine to washing and such. I consider them a good product for what they are.

    BUT, will not keep them attached when I sell....not part of the original package, and NOT on the 456: makes the car lines off.

    Yoshi travels often and when he travels he cannot see or cannot reply to his messages.
    However when he is back he usually catches up with the correspondence.
    At least this has been my experience.

    I ordered the shields in the first week of September. Yoshi was "in" to take the order! I have emailed five times between 17th September to 10th October........Nothing!

    I sent Yoshi several emails a few months ago with questions with no response, based on that only I decided to go with the shields Ricambi sells. If he can't return an email before the sell----then I know he won't return one after the sale. Love the ones fron Ricambi---And you know how good the customer service is with Daniel!!!

    Everyone on this threads and et al,

    This is Yoshi and I deeply apologize for causing such painful experiences with my poor communications and services. I have the problems with the email setup with my new website (http://www.yoshield.com), which prevents me from accessing to my emails. So, people who have sent in the requests for replacements due to the defective shields must have sent the emails to this problemtaic email account ([email protected]). I just need to contact my web host company to fix the problem. If you had sent in your emails to another (older) email account [email protected], Iwould normally respond within a couple of days. Actual shipping of the replacement shields may be right away or delayed as I am the frenquent traveler to Japan and other Asian countries on my primary business. I know it is the lame excuse. So, what I would like to do is that I ask those who needs the replacement to send me the emails at [email protected] and I will take care of sending the replacements after 10/17 as I have a plan to return to the US on 10/16. I sincerely apologize for my lack of responsiveness and poor communications. I will try to improve my service level going forward. Yoshi

    Yoshi, how are you able to sell these without being sued by Ferrari? Do you license the logo or something? Everyone gets so worked up about replica cars - these are replicas of trademark logos! Seriously, let me know your secret - it's so much easier to sell things with the horse attached.

    give the guy a chance. Like I said before after several purchases from Yoshi, he will do you a service, albeit, when he is aware.

    I am sure if you communicate with him in a honorable manner, he will address your concerns and make you a believer again.

    Just to update you on my original post. Yoshi contacted me and apologised profusely for the quality problems and for not returning my emails. Yoshi sent me a pair of new shields which are perfect. I just hope that this was just a "glitch" and that everybody else has had their problems addressed.
