Annual Spring Tour MD/VA/DC/PA [Sunday, March 30th 9-10am Meet; 10:15am Depart]

It's that time of the year once again and the tours are starting... This is mostly a Porsche event, but as always, I like to invite the Ferrari crowd to join in on the festivities... Hope to see a few at the meeting place on the 30th...

INFO: This route will take us through very scenic areas and over extremely twisty roads of northern Carroll & Frederick Counties ending at the famous Cozy Inn in Thurmont, Md. Last year’s tour was such a big hit that we’re going back by popular demand. The cost for the meal is $20.00 person all inclusive (children’s rates available). They put out quite a spread for us last year. Expect more of the same on this tour…

From Baltimore: Take I-70 W toward Frederick. Take exit 80 RT-32 North toward Sykesville (RIGHT at end of ramp). Go straight at Rt-26 and take your 1st RIGHT then LEFT into the Safeway parking lot…

From Columbia / Annapolis Area: RT-32 North toward Sykesville. Go straight at Rt-26 and take your 1st RIGHT then LEFT into the Safeway parking lot…

From DC Area: I-270 North to I-70 East to Exit 80 RT-32 North. At the end of the ramp turn LEFT on RT-32 toward Sykesville. Go straight at Rt-26 and take your 1st RIGHT then LEFT into the Safeway parking lot…

One week till the big day... Current weather is calling for Sunny and 56... Hope to see you there...

 

Sunday is the big day... Looks as if it's going to be a nice day... By the RSVPs we are going to have a big turnout... There's still room if you would like to attend... Just email me at: [email protected] and let me know if you are solo or will have a navigator...

 

Tomorrow's weather is looking good... A bit cool but clear... So far it looks as if we will have almost 100 cars... I'm looking forard to seeing everyone... Should be a GREAT time...

 

Gina and I had a blast putting this together for everyone... This was the 1st of 8 events planned for 2008... Here's the official tally:

98 Cars on the tour (152 people)
127 people for lunch at the Cozy Inn

People came to the event from as far away as Virginia Beach & North Jersey... Thanks to everyone for making this such a successfull event... See you next time...
