If you look at April 14 to April 15 that's a pretty big DECLINE in prices in the last year. I personaly wish they were going up as it looks like I may have to part with mine soon due to things out of my control. Some of the ultra nice cars have pulled some good money but the average to slightly above average cars seem to be holding if anything.

Admittedly, I haven't kept up with the market the last twelve months. There is a point that a car will begin to level and even appreciate. If the 308/328 has reached that point, glory.

Contrary to what I believed true about the market, your chart looks to me like it shows a steady decline in prices over the last few years??

I paid 82k for my Berlinetta
12k miles and in excellent shape.
    services current and complete.

Since then I have reconditioned the wheels, installed Ferrari 360 cd/radio, added 3m clear bra, changed to euro lenses, new center caps, re-dyed seats and put a challenge grill on.

So Im probably all in at about 86k ish

Not that it matters, but I figured I'd chime in after seeing the poll results. I paid exactly in the middle of the current leading poll range 2 years ago for a GTS known here on FChat as a great, but higher-mileage (43K), example. So if the poll is an accurate sample size, it seems prices have been fairly static on average for a couple of years.
My issue with the poll is there are so many variables... body type, miles, mods, condition, color, etc.

    Chase,

Absolutly love the 355 you picked as I stated last year. I had a meeting with the dealer in New Orleans on arrival, phoned him that evening when I settled in the Hotel, BUT he said Black Horse Motors-FL bought it two hours earlier/shipping truck was on the way and it was posted/flipped two weeks to you later for 75/78+ on BHM website.
So be it, right time right place. Sale price was 51K to BHM and 78-80K to you. You have a sorted car with A VERY good history.

Nothing wrong with this, your car with your extra touches should be a Platinum winner.

What about all the cars that are mint that are not for sale. I think the poll is correct because its facts. I think it is representative of the cars that are for sale. That being said i think (and this is pur speculation) that most of us that own 355, and have maintained them exceptionally well probably are not selling them because they are mint, they drive good, look good, and are worth too much to us to sell. This keeps them out of the poll unfortunately. I think the spread between fixers, good ones, and very very good ones will keep getting larger. The poll i think is representative of the average ones though. Lets face it if they are not maintained they probably wont sell but a lot will show their age.

At the end of the day, just like everything else, a car is only worth what soneone is willing to pay for it. As a potential buyer becomes more and more particular about specs (year, color, body type, transmission, maintenance, upgrade) he will know himself through constant searching if the particular car he wants is hard to find or not. If he wants it bad enough, he will be willing to pay more. This is really the only thing that will drive the price of a car up. If its a combo buyers feel they can pass up on for a better deal in the future, chances are prices on those will not rise.

According to the other poll it seems most people who bought a car in the last 6 months bought a B or an S (37 total), so I doubt including spiders has had much impact on the results. There are only 18 responses to my poll who paid over $80, so that would sort of say at least 19 people bought Bs or Ss for under that mark. In reality, what does it matter? Some think prices are still on the way up. Others, like myself, feel prices are at or near a top.
