Another 308 in Missouri

My name is Rusty, and I am grateful for all the information that I've found here on FerrariChat. This week, I finally bought my first Ferrari, a 1979 Fly Yellow 308 GTS. I found it on eBay, and I talked to many people before I made the purchase. I have been impressed with how Ferrari owners are willing to help new people, even though they are obviously successful and most likely live busy lives.
I found my 308 on eBay, and flew from Missouri to North Carolina to check it out. I liked the car, and the owner was completely on the level about the condition, so it was better than I expected. I actually drove it 800 miles home, and didn't have any problems.
But, it does need maintenance, especially a carburetor tune up and getting rid of the catalytic converters. I do all of my own mechanical work, so I'll be looking for a thread that shows tuneups, seal replacements, and things like that.

 

Thanks for the welcome, Blampee. I've never posted on a forum before, so I don't know how it all works, still sorting it out! But, I'm having a lot of fun with the 308. It's not perfect, but it's in really good shape, so I will be able to drive it a lot when I get it running better! I do have to sell my Corvette, though, which I will miss...
