    Hi all. Thanks for all the great feedback on our 330GT - it makes all those hours spent in the garage even more worthwhile. Several people asked questions about the restoration process and I'll answer them now, and probably post a few "in process" pictures when I return home later this week. I basically did all the mechanical work as well as disassembly and reassembly of the interior and exterior myself. The excellent paint and body work was done by Austin's Collision and Custom in Austin, TX. Various part of the interior were done by three different suppliers and I installed the interior. Mr Massisni is correct that the car was white when delivered, however it seems to have quickly become silver for some reason early in it's life. I retained the original interior color but changed the exterior to a dark blue metallic that is hopefully period correct. I looked at hundreds of dark blue metallic paint chips before selecting the one we used. ColdWater on this site previously owned the car and he had the heads rebuilt. As far as I know the bottom end has not been redone.

    Thanks for the details.

    Good idea on the color change. I don't think white on a 330 GT would be particularly flattering. The shape is better suited to a dark color. Just my opinion, of course. Contrary to conventional wisdom I like the quad light design because of the way it reshapes the fenders.
