See post #8 on your other question--about the fuel guage--that should work with this also...

The buttery smooth shifts only occur after the drivetrain has properly warmed up. In my experience, this takes at least 15-20 minutes of gentle driving in a 360 ("gentle" = don't exceed 4000 RPM).

If it's still notchy after the oil has reached normal operating temp (oil temp, not just water temp...), take it to a dealer.

A dealer told me that the 99 and 00 360s had trouble with the thrust bearing not sliding smoothly, resulting in rough shifting. There is an upgraded part. My parts book confirms the upgraded part: For non-F1 was 171886, replaced by 189182. This may have been further superceded after the print date of my parts book, so don't take this as the final update. There was a similar upgrade for F1 (different part numbers) and I know from my own experience that there was an even further one that wasn't in my book (part number 201024).
