I love where it says "The car gets all the looks all the time", there is a reason for that and it is not what he thinks!

I dunno... I think it looks pretty good, and you dont see alot of 328 replica's.
The problem with projects like this, if done well, it costs way more to build than it'll ever be worth.
As I said, I think it looks good... but not $19K good! If it had an LT1 or LS1 conversion & 5-speed... maybe $15K.

I'd love to get my hands on a minty Mera... those were pretty cool, altho i'm sure most of you would disagree, angrily!

To each his own. And as you imply, the gap between replica and real closes pretty quickly with projects like these. But beauty is in the mind of the beholder, and as a buddy of mine always says, "there's an a$$ for every seat"

As a Ferrari owner I too don't like kit cars, but the Mera was actually a pretty decent "fake" Ferrari. It's a double edged sword, the car as a car is decent, but the car as a Ferrari is an abomination. Can anyone give me a history lesson regarding the Mera? Wasn't this thing available through Pontiac dealers - like almost an official option? Yes it's still Fiero based, but it's done to a much higher standard than the typical backyard type kit cars. I've never seen one in person to really check it out, how was the fit and finish? I also agree that a Mera with an LT1 or hotter motor would be a blast to drive.
