My 2005 F430 started making a ticking sound--also had some white dust for many months now. Last week ticking got louder and thought I heard exhaust leak. All noise pretty much lasted only 39-seconds. Pic below shows what I'm pretty sure is a crack--along the weld.... Documents indicate previous owner had manifolds replaced twice (dealer) before I got the car. I'm thinking Fabspeed headers!

What ever you fit be sure you get the insulation blankets as its cut the engine bay heat a lot.

No smoke test required. Here is my flashlight test..... I replaced with new Fabspeed headers which are excellent--better than the original exhaust manifold and guaranteed for life!

If that crack is the only problem it's an easy fix.

True--I may get it fixed and keep in case I ever sell the car and new owner wants to go all original--however the headers are better--less restrictive with no pre-cats, and after 3 failures, the Ferrari manifolds are completely unreliable. The Fabspeed product is visually higher quality.
