Like many of you, the sideview mirror switch on my 599 fell apart. I think I’ve read everything here about a possible fix only to find out there isn’t one. I haven’t looked at the guts of the knob very closely, but in my case it looks like the plastic connecting the twist knob to the unit crumbled. Other than shelling out for a new headlight/sideview mirror assembly are there any solutions I may have missed?

Specifically, does anyone know if p/n 263013 from a 458 is the same switch by dimension, connection and function? The only difference I can see through pictures is that the knurled part of the 458 switch is black rather than the 599’s silver. The 458 has two different mirror switches depending on whether the car is equipped with folding mirror. P/N 263013 is the non-folding version and can be purchased for $150-200 versus the cost of a new assembly. Here’s a pic of the 458 switch. Thanks for your assist once again, PJ

@Ricambi America - with respect, I don’t think that’s the correct part number. 275355 appears to have the “toggle down” feature for the folding mirrors and the twist knob itself does not match. To my knowledge folding mirrors were not available for the 599. Also, from what I’ve read here, Ferrari does not list a separate part number for the 599 mirror control. Rather, it seems the entire headlight control panel which includes the mirror switch is the only option. Being thrifty, I’m exploring other options to buying the entire panel which is what led me to the question about the 458 non-folding mirror switch since it “looks” quite similar. Check out this picture showing the 275355. This vendor also states the application is for an FF. I’ve also included a picture of the 599 Light switch panel for comparison.

P/n 263013 ordered @ $189. I will let you know if the 458 mirror switch is compatible with the 599 Light and Rear View Mirror Mounting Panel. PJ

It is the same size and fitment, I have had customers order 458 switches for 599s. May look a tad different on the icons but works fine.

For the 612, the F8 or 488 switch with the mirror folding at the bottom works and is readily available.

And there is an easy add on service you could offer. Refinish the new switches and give them the correct icons.

I had to replace mine and discovered that the complete lighting control and mirror control unit is the same as used on some Fiat and Maserati cars. I recall some earlier threads on this subject here.

Can you provide a little more information regarding the problem? What I found with the 599’s switch as you can see from my photos was a fracture portion of the plastic that allowed the rotating knob to over-rotate and failed to hold the contacts in place when manipulated. It was replaced instead of repaired for several reasons including the ready availability of replacement parts. There are substitutes that used to be available but I could not find them in the U.S., or shipped to the U.S. You may have better access to allow just the replacement of the knob. The replacement of the assembly was very quick once that decision was made.

I’d say you have the same problem as mine. I could carefully get it to function intermittently in some directions and some situations. It would however rotate completely around beyond the stops for switching left to right. I suggest pulling the assembly and seeing what is going on with the housing physically. You may be able to glue / epoxy the housing back in place. You can also just replace the mirror control *if* you can find the comparable part in stock, which I could not. Otherwise, the only choice is replacement. It is an easy DIY job to replace and I don’t recall the genuine Ferrari part being very expensive.

Yes ! Exactly the same problem.

will try to fix it, the new part comes a set with the lights switch. Expensive trying to figure out or find the mirror switch only which I didn’t get lucky yet.

Hey pj, did you have any luck with the 458 part? I'm having the same issue with my car.
