Morning Kelly , I just woke up to 4-5" of snow with the wind blowin at 40mph and 20* temp. Gota get the red plow truck out and ready to clear a few driveways. Fcar in the garage sittin on the lift waitin for the salt on the roads to clear. Just another few weeks and maybe I'll catch a sunny day. Enjoy the drunkin shrimp.

Same situation here in Michigan. This winter has been mild comprared to our normal ones, but still we get weeks without sun shine, lots and LOTS of road salt (....a carguys nightmare), snow and wind, and overall just a depressing place to be. In the past if an employment opportunity came along that required me to relocate I would have turned it down. But now as I get older I'd jump at the chance to move south. Our winters hit in November and last until May. It get's unbearable around April....lingers on and on like a bad tooth ache.....

Same as Steve. Snowing, gotta get the red plow truck going and clear the driveways. Oh, I do have some inside work I can do - pay the bills.

i agree in full with darth, drive the car in the wet, after all it's only a machine (perhaps that's understated). i was back in home in n.c. over the holidays with limited time, so i was forced into a few rainy day drives. although i drive my car in the rain from time to time, i still wonder will rain bother the engine at all? i know that all the critical parts are covered, but it just seems so exposed vs. the 360 or 430? when i wash the car, i cringe at the sound when the hose is directed towards the engine area and rear grill of the car. as for the weather here in china, no improvement, just gray and cold. however, i am back to bangkok on wed., so there is light at the end of the tunnel. cheers, kelly

Frequent trips to BKK could make living in China bearable, although I think the roads and traffic leave a lot to be desired for a Ferrari.
Anyway, the weather should definitely be better for you there.
I love dinner at Buccaracum off Silom and my Starbucks on Soi Lang Suan.
By the way, it was sunny here and 70 and we had a nice round of golf and a drive in the 550:))

gary, you are correct, the only way for me to tolerate china is by living in thailand. i disagree with you on one point however, the expressway and outer ring roads going out to chonburi can be some of the best roads in the world for non-track high speed driving. especially on the upper deck, i am frequently passed in my rover by many types of exotics going in excess of 200 km. the only problem for me is that the f-car sitting back in n.c only to be driven a few times per year. cheers, kelly

    Dear wise-ass Darth,
1)It's not that I "can't" drive her in the rain-I choose not to-in view of the cleaning process that must follow.
    2) who the hell are you to make the judgment "that I shouldn't have her?

    Darth,

Marty has spend more time behind the wheel of a fcar (575,360,430 etc etc) in the wet then 90% of the people on this board, including you.

    Cut him some slack.

He is a real nice guy... he even showed up for the Portland get together. I'm not sure what Marty wetting himself and getting stuck in his car have to do with anything.

Matt tells someone not to tease? (see illustration)

It was just a joke, don't know why Marty has taken it to heart. Like we really think he doesn't deserve his car?
