I agree
Seems to be getting some coverage now, as the crash of such a car was bound to. Is that quote from here?
yep..that's us...his son has already posted on the other thread..see No. Cal. Section.."Very sad..." it's in there. I vote no pics as well.....let it go........
The fact that the car crashed head on, and that there are no signs of a loss of control makes me wonder whether a heart attack, stroke or something similar may have caused the accident.
This wasn't the gentleman with all four supercars was it? I have seen a post of someone out west with these cars lined up. Regardless, it seems to be human nature that the general population loves a good accident or wreck. I don't know the reason, perhaps someone could chime in. It is a pity anyone dies like this, the good guy, and the con king walks. Life can be a roll of the dice, No rhyme or reason. I drive too fast sometimes, but it should be left on the track, no? Someone just lost him life in a Viper near New Orleans as a thread from that area indicates-it seems to be a frequent occurance.
now how many cars have been destroyed? i think 8. i m sorry, i understand also that this question shoudn t have posted here only for respect of family.
As a matter of fact, it is....... The common thread to all Enzo crashes I've studied is air getting under the car...and you leave no marks, flying.... ......until you hit.
I don't know either - I guess its something to do with the power invovled in objects coliding. I sometimes get a strong urge to pilot my Porsche straight into an oncoming car just to see the result, then I realize that would be suicide, and go on my way. I'm not alone in thinking that. People can die out on the track just like on the road. Right now I've got in mind a F3 race in Britian, I'm not going to go into details. Humans die - we can die any time, at any age. Its going to happen. The hurt of missing someone who's been there for you all your life...He realy was a Dad and Husband. Glad he got his time on earth.
I think you should re-evaluate your priorities... Rest in piece Gary. And sincere sympathy to his family and friends...
My exact thoughts also, Simon. Folks, when it comes right down to it, it's just a car. A rare car, a nice car, an expensive car, yes, but it's just a car. Think I'm nuts ? Let's say you are standing on a 1200' cliff, next to your Enzo. Either you or the Enzo is going over the edge, which is it ? I like my car, but if it goes over the edge, I can always find another one.
Hi folks, I never knew Gary, neather heard of him. Can somebody please post a picture of Gary? Not the crash, just him.His family has pictures of him,so that won't hurt This is what I'm always thinkin' about when flooring my TR.... When I posted the "how fast did you drive your Ferrari?" thread,"NEY" warned me about these:if you do it,some day you will get your name in the newspapers, and people will tell about "this" guy on F-chat etc.... Also this:where I live, there was a guy, about 50 years old, with a very nice Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2L.He loved the car, never ever saw it dirty or whatsoever.Even had the occasion to be next to him ath red light. He drove carefully, but NOT slow...Didn't see him for a few wheeks....Later,I was told by one of his friends, that he's got a heart attack while driving on a highway, and that he hit a concrete wall ath 100MPH.... RIP Gary, would love to see you up there one day... Speedman
i never had the pleasure of meeting Gary, i have read everything about him I can since the accident, Its just awful, it really hit me hard I lost 2 friends this month one 42 cancer the other 12 car accident, so when I saw the first post my heart went to the floor, I hope his family is holding together during this tough time, he was an awesome man, from what I read, he clearly had passion for what he set out to do in life, you dont achieve that level of success without being a man of great charcter, i would like to see a nice picture of him, the last thing we need is a a pic of any accident or car count, that stuff is morbid and meaningless.
