I’ve read through a number of exhaust threads, but thought I’d start a fresh one. I’ve got two capristo exhausts, a sound one and a sound three. The sound one sounded more like a motorbike, and the sound three, better at revs but flabby at idle. This is the sound I really want https://youtube.com/shorts/feCeypTufI8?feature=share but neither of the exhaust I have deliver it. However in the comments it mentions it’s a capristo stage 3. Not sure how accurate that is. Does any one recognise this car or know what setup it’s running. It has to be one of the best sounding 360’s out there.
That may be an OEM Challenge Stradale exhaust. Hard to say without the owner weighing in. That said, I have an S-Line exhaust for the 360 for sale that’s been coated with Cerakote for better heat resistance, lower engine bay temps and better corrosion resistance. It’s for sale right now in the Classifieds. Here’s a few links to my Instagram with sound clips. It’s one of the best sounding Ferrari aftermarket exhausts, in my opinion. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CqlyZJLM0an/?igshid=ZWQyN2ExYTkwZQ== https://www.instagram.com/reel/CinGqs6Olbg/?igshid=ZWQyN2ExYTkwZQ== https://www.instagram.com/reel/CiDhq6gOm0q/?igshid=ZWQyN2ExYTkwZQ== https://www.instagram.com/tv/Ch5F_cEtmus/?igshid=ZWQyN2ExYTkwZQ==
Having listened to a number of Challenge Stradales at the annual Ferrari Club of GB get together at the weekend, I’m fairly confident it’s not standard.
It's definitely not a stock CS exhaust. If you want I can post the stock CS exhaust sound. It sounds way different and unique for my opinion, it has a unreachable sound
Strictly based on the exhaust tips it's definitely not the stock CS exhaust. However I also can't figure out what it is either. Kriessieg, Capristo, Tubi, Kline, S-Line, etc. all have outer tips that taper toward the longer inner tips, while these don't have that taper and are staggered\have a visible length difference between them like the stock CS tips.
Kreissieg regularly make some of the best exhausts in the world, so I've no doubt theirs sounds insane...but this doesn't look like theirs Image Unavailable, Please Login The tips on the car in the video are emphatically different lengths, the Kreissieg system they are staggered...but much less aggressively
But having said this, the only brand that has tip barrels long enough to match the car in the video is Kreissieg...
Maybe its a custom made exhaust to the car? i duno about elsewhere, but here in holland almost every city has a shop that makes exhausts per car, and they tend to be alot cheaper than exhausts like Capristo, Kreissieg, Kline etc.... wouldnt be surprised if thats the case here
I began to wonder this. There’s a couple of places in the uk which do custom exhaust design and build.
Ok, so I just looked up the Kreissieg exhaust system. I thought the CS stock exhaust sounded the best, but now I'm not so sure. Insane!
Yeah the kreisegg systems are insane. Proper old school f1 sound. Would love to know what this car is running, in terms of headers and cats. iIt doesn’t sound like it has huge volume, but proper F1 pitch
if you have after market headers, this really cranks up the sound no matter which muffler you use. (I am guessing because the after market headers do not have pre-cats like the stock headers do) if you have a coupe, you can do pretty much anything, but if you have a spider, the CS muffler with after market headers will be too loud. I ended up pulling the CS muffler off and went to a tubi, with fabspeed headers on a spider, sounds good, but I normally dont hear my own car from the sidewalk. Its fun project no matter what you pick. But the CS muffler is not much of muffler. Its loud.
Still been browsing to see if I could identify this and there is a Tubi exhaust which has a similar tip set up. It says it’s a Tubi Challenge Stradale exhaust tip. Interesting there is a crossover as well. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have just put my oem silencer and tail pipes back on my 430 as the non valve capristo setup was just too much , hard to hear the satnav on the motorway. Silence is golden
Aint it great how different people are? the whole reason i hate EV's is the lack of motor/exhaust noise, i just cant stand silence (and no, sound over speakers of a car, or music doesnt help this, i tend to drive without music)! Same for the F430, which will get a Sline (without mufflers ofcorse), the louder the better for me! I find the stock exhaust on the F430 way way WAY too quiet!
I think that initial video is what got me excited to convert and F430 muffler to fit my 360 since it is a similar design to the CS. I was disappointed when I didn't get that F1 scream. From my understanding (please correct me if I'm wrong) to achieve that high pitched scream, there needs to be a crossover from both sides of the engine. Otherwise you are effectively listening to 2 I4 engines. On the Cs/f430 muffler they crossover at lower RPMS when the valves are close and the exhaust is channeled through the muffler. At higher RPMs when the valves open, each bank bypasses the muffler leading to the loudness. However this doesn't allow them to cross over and doesn't allow them to sound the way the car in the first video does. Sent from my toilet using FerrariChat.com mobile app
