Well not quite yet, but soon. I'll pick up my '80 400i later this month. The race is on....to see who will have the upper hand.... Can I generate enough income to maintain it, or can it break fast enough to force me to go bankrupt. It will be fun seeing who wins. Interesting car. An "crossover" model between the earlier carb models and the injected cars. This car has fuel injection. Yet it doesn't have the metric TRX wheels & tires. Still has the cable controls for bonnet & boot (no solonoids WOO HOO!) Koni standard style shocks not the awful self levelers. Anybody know anything about the Houston chapter of the Ferrari club? Nice group of folks? Or a group of people so full of themselves they just have to show off?
Congrats! Great car, nothing like a Ferrari 12. Depends if you are mentally healthy or not. I'm heavily involved in the FCA and know most of the Houston chapter. I think they're all a great bunch and most appear to be mentally healthy. You might catch wind of a few individuals that don't like the Houston FCA, but they don't like much anything in life.
Good group of folks who like to get together and do things. The Saturday morning runs are a lot of fun. Grady Owens is one you can look up about membership...........
Of course I'm not. I'm completely off my rocker. I enjoy classic European cars. I have just added to my collection an over a quarter of a century old Ferrari, that was never imported to the US, that everyone knows is ridiculously expensive to maintain, and that parts are, at best, difficult to find. Mentally healthy? I should be locked up, I'm a car nut.
