    I just got home from yet another great drive in my 2008 430 6MT Spider here in the Detroit area. I have owned lots of great sports cars in the past, but somehow, this car just does it for me. The sound, the feel, the visceral stimulation, the vibe...The scream of this engine at redline and WOT is just awesome! The feel of the gated manual gearbox is sublime. I just can't get enough of driving this wonderful and beautiful beast. While I have owned (and own) faster cars, this car is just plenty fast to do everything I need it to do. Thank you, Ferrari!

    You got to love a spirited drive!! You know you did it right, when you get home (or where ever you are going) and you heart is pumping faster and your breathing is much faster. Yes, that is why I bought my car.

    If I move to a 430, that is my choice in colors.. kudos for going with a manual shifter!

    I can totally relate to you! The sound from the engine at 8500, the clicking from the gated shifter... It's all there! Love it!

    Yes, it is all EPIC! I love that "click-click" sound that occurs when shifting with the sound of the engine just singing at full voice...EPIC!!!

    I am sitting on sidelines for perhaps another 3 months...waiting for a liquidity event with a partial sale of my business. in meantime, just LOVE this forum and these cars. I have owned several p-cars, and have a Panamera GTS as a my DD. I am likely to get a late model ('07or '08) F430, F1 tranny. I believe they stopped production on this car in '08?

    Anyway, up until this thread, was leaning toward Red (I know cliché, but first supercar for me, and saying Ferrari, followed by red, just seemed so natural), but this color is just so amazingly classy....

    I am jealous of all of you current owners!

    And in the FWIW category, I am likely going to be the kind of guy that religiously will put 3-5K miles on it each year I figure it's an amazing machine, I love to drive, I have been working hard for 30 years to finally reach the pinnacle of my earning power (48 yo here), so this certainly will not be some garage trophy! From what I have read, as long as one maintains the car properly, driving them likely better than just staring at them!

    Good for you! I turn 48 in a couple weeks and, yes, drive that beast!!! Find the one you like and wear that sucker out! Not driving a car like this is just sinful and frankly, stupid. It was designed and built to be driven. Nothing lasts forever in this world, most of all, not us...you are born naked and you will die naked...No Ferrari will go with you to the pearly gates...so drive it as hard as you can for as long as you can on this earth!!! :)

    We're all good here...except for the daughter who refuses to ride in the Diablo because it would embarrass her if her friends saw it.

    Not messin with any Detroit banger....I want to die in my bed underneath a hooker like any other Lamborghini owner would want.
