That is what happens sometimes when drivers have more money than talent. sad to see and maybe not the case in this incident but in most
It wasn't necessarily the Lack of Talent, even the best and most professional race drivers crash Was it crashed on the Mille Miglia (The Stickers)? According to this comment on Youtube . . . @umbertino6 ciao l incidente è avvenuto tra la gto e una moto bmw ! la moto ha preso una curva troppo larga ! . . . the GTO driver collided with an opposite coming BMW Motorcycle that took the curve too widely!? Bad Luck . . . For Both . . . I hope that all of the people involved in this crash are OK, especially the motorcyclist Greetz, Joseph
Thats historic livery and a GTO could be ordered that way from the factory. Don't believe it has anything to do with a track accident. Sad to see none the less.
I know that you can order the GTOs that way, but check the Stickers on the doors and on the windshield, they say Ferrari Tribute 1000 Miglia 2011! Although, the surroundings look more German than Italian to me Greetz, Joseph
The GTO was indeed doing the Ferrari tribute to Millemiglia with me. The car belongs to a German guy that I met. I didn't see the crash because it was behind me and i"m not sure of what happened. But for sure in that piece of road there were lot"s of crazy bykers that were cutting curves and going like crazy trying to overtake the Ferraris.
Why is this the first thing that comes to some peoples' lips? Crashes happen in Formula 1 all the time. Do those drivers not have enough driving talent for you? Accidents happen.
It was ~10 cars ahead of me on the road, there were bikes and cars everywhere - could have happened to anyone
Ah, I didn't know more people spec'd the same livery and colors. I really like the colors though, so that's a good thing +1
Seems odd, front end damage - why is the trunk and rear bumper so far out of alignment? And the windshield spiderweb, looks like someone hit their head - how is that possible with the airbag? No seatbelt?
Exactly what I was thinking. I'm not saying that some crashes aren't due to lack of talent but it's not always the case. The F1 example is a great one.
That happens with unibody damage. When a modern vehicle Has a front impact the unibody is designed to transfer the energy within the unibody so the occupants get less. Thats why some cars that look like there isn't much damage get written off. The unibody did it's job. The airbags in some cars do hit the windshield when deployed but only on the passenger side. Drivers side shouldn't hit.
Left front wheel is punctured but no rim damage perhaps he had a flat tyre and lost control on a curve.
