Hello fellow "F"-chatters, Question: Does anyone know where I can secure the same O.E. heater hosing (O.E. has an unusual texture), pn my 79 308. Also any tips on R/R'n this would greatly be appreciated. Thanks, Chris.
Look for Gates 'Green Stripe' hoses. They are the correct metric size and the correct texture for the concourse conscience among us. Call Gates direct and find out who carries it in your area. BTW, it is not cheap. I remember gasping when I found out the price which is now a distant memory.
And we appreciate your using the SEARCH function Seriously, search on "308 heater hose" -- you'll get many good threads like this: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3349&highlight=heater+hose+308 Fortunately, for me, it's one thing that I didn't have the pleasure of experiencing first-hand, but my take is that it's still a bit of a b*tch even with complete disassambly at each end and an "assistant" (i.e., no easy shortcuts).
