Lego Canada had these 1:10 F1's on sale for $49cad so shipped to my door it was only $60. They go on ebay for a lot higher.

Has anybody paid almost $200 for the bigger 1:8 scale version with working suspension? If anybody thinks it's much better, then I'll have to ask for one for Christmas. ;)

Nice work. The 1:8 model is a bit over 2 feet long and has more detail that the 1:10 version.
Does your model have pushrod suspension on the front and rear?

it doesn't have any suspension to speak of. just the steering. do you have the 1:8 model? I've already seen pics on the web and read a few reviews but i wondered if anyone here had bought it.

That's pretty cool looking, i've looked into getting the 1/8 simply because when I was a kid I was a lego fiend, I literally have thousands of dollars worth of legos sitting in boxes back at home. I know there's someone on here with the 1/8 mounted on their wall, looks pretty nice actually, but the 1/10 looks great as well.

No sorry don't have a 1:8 version, but I have seen it up close. It has a pushrod front and rear suspension which is quite impressive for its size. The engine looks very much like the one in the 1:10 version (V10 w/o heads). The body has more aerodynamic details, to wit: undertray, barge boards and rear wheel spats. I believe the Ferrari website has the 1:8 version for sale.

Toys R Us still has plenty of them in stock but still kind of pricey.
