Has anyone heard of another price increase on the 430 Scud? There was one increase of $10K that brought the price from $262K to $272K. Now I'm hearing there is another price increase of $16K. Can anyone confirm this?

From a dealer in California. I checked with another dealer and they have not heard of this price increase. So I've got one dealer saying there is a price increase and another saying there is not a price increase

For arguments sake, assume the $262k car was planned at 1.5 EUR-USD. That's 174,666 EUR. That same 174,666 EUR today @ 1.58 EUR-USD = $275. There's your original price increase... thanks to a completely abhorrent US economy, thanks largely to a financial black hole called Iraq.

Now... assume 1.58 doesn't hold and we slip to 1.60 or worse... voila.

Happily, days like today float in the other direction and we get a slightly stronger USD compared to a few weeks ago.

They start at about $600,000.00 plus options in Australia.

I have heard they are pretty expensive over in Australia and in some parts of Europe. And I've seen F430's go as little as $175k on ebay and some even lower than that with higher mileage. It wouldn't surprise me if the Scuderia was selling here in the states for just around $250k-$275K.

    $275K is approximaely MSRP.

I think the FMV will be $400K to $450K, but we may not know for sure as very few will change hands in the first 12 months on the secondary market due to FNA policy.

Here's an update from my dealer in California. All USA cars (Scuderias only) built after July will have the rear diffusor in carbon, the front splitter in carbon and the headlights trimmed in carbon. These are mandatory items. Pricing has not been determined yet.

Just for the record, the U.S. spends much more on illegal immigration than Iraq, but whose counting. Best

Jeff, if your info is correct base price for the Scud will soon be over $300K in the US. Makes CS's look like even more the bargain! Best.
