Another promising step for Prodrive

Dave Richard's Prodrive's development plans for a F1 Spec factory in Warwickshire gained the approval of the local council. The state-of-the-art facility would include new offices, design studios, R&D laboratories and a conference center.

Next hurdle is the passage by the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government. This is because the application is a "departure from the development plan" having the factory being built on green belt land.

Decision expected within 28 days.
