    Regardless of if it's relection or not, I had no idea the sidepods were at all contoured in a concave style albeit slightly at the horizontal plane area.

    Or maybe it's just cooling issues. It's been very hot here lately.

    I think cooling issue. Note the black wicker bill attached to the lead trio of sidepod gills. Probably speeds up the flow of radiator exhaust and it wasn't there in Australia.
