    Polo Green is nice.

I'm glad you don't hate Rossi. You're right what he did was unprecedented...but I think he gets more support out of Yamaha and Honda than Max did because...well...Rossi get's 'er done.

Watch the races when Max was on the Yamaha. He was on a far inferior machine and still managed to engage Rossi in many titanic battles, and beat him more than a few times.

In the end, Max was the more naturally gifted rider, but started way too late in life. He lacked that comfort and guile that Rossi has.

I must profess to getting into MotoGP shortly before Rossi arrived on the scene, so I am a little short-handed on my information.

Someone mentioned that they'd figure Alonso to be about 10 secs or so off of Rossi's pace on a bike?

I'd figure that to be closer to 30 secs, if this is a GP bike. You can lose time in so many more ways than in a car.

But, like I said, if it's a GP bike; Alonso would probably get himself seriously injured.

I would go with tifosi12 when it comes down to a points battle...

1-0 for Alonso in an F1 car (not more than "a couple of seconds a lap" difference).

1 -1 when the gentlemen ride their GP bikes (Vale wins with a BIG margin IF Alonso manages to stay ON the bike).

1 - 2 for Vale as driving a rally car FAST is more "on the edge" like a GP bike.

It's a completely different story when the times are added. Even when Alsonso would win the rally event, the difference would be too smal to make up lost time on the bike.

Either way Rossi wins whether you like it or not... ;-)

I would like to see this even thappen.. No matter where's it's being held on this globe, I'll be there!

"Trading paint" events are always fun and about the only measure stick we have to compare apples to oranges.

JPM vs Gordon, Race of Champions in Paris (Kovalainen vs MS) and CART vs F1 in Montreal come to mind. :)
