    Valon Behrami, a Swiss mid-fielder for Napoli was involved in an accident in Florence, Italy in his Bianco Avus.

    No one was hurt, and it is reported that another vehicle making an illegal U-turn at a red light lost control and crashed into his Scud.

    Painful to see...be safe out there fellas.

    Was this recent? I think I just saw a salvaged title White Scud going for about $100k on Ebay with similar damage.

    Hmm, then again your R8 didn't appear as it would've been either. Damn cars are so fragile these days! Lol

    Don't know about you guys but the damage does not look that serious to me. Bet the other driver didn't share my sentiments.

    I'm sure it can be restored.

    This is the part about Fchat that really gets me.

    That car is FIXABLE -- or at least appears to be from what I can see from the photos.

    And, for someone who wants a knock around car and doesn't mind if it gets a door ding or a scratch, it could be exactly what he wants -- a cheap car with some repaired body damage that no one really cares about because you can't see it.

    Yet, every time the mention of body damage comes up, we tell people to "run away". Why? Why does everyone want a museum piece? What's wrong with a perfectly fine repaired car?

    You know what I see here? Not another "Scud" biting the dust. I see a great car for someone to get at a bargain, thrash around, and have a blast with.

    The glass is not half empty. It's half full.

    I saw that scud at an insurance auction with a buy it now price of $85,500 I didn't see what it actually sold for. I agree that it would be an easy fix. But then you would have to live with the salvage title and there isnt a big market for high end salvage.

    It was stated in the article(s) that the car was written off or will most likely be written off. Don't shoot the messenger...

    And I know from experience how seemingly insignificant exterior damage can be very deceiving...from my own little incident all it took was a bend in the alu subframe (not visible from the plain exterior), and the bill shot through the roof resulting in a write-off.

    Exactly! And after a quick review of replacement body parts pricing, it become clear that there are no easy fixes and precisely why these cars are totaled by the insurance companies.

    I've had my heart (and wallet) set on a 360. I made the mistake of looking at this Scuderia. That engine is a thing of beauty! Great... now I'm looking at 430 Scuderia's.

    I keep telling myself "If I can't afford a perfect Ferrari, then I can't afford one with problems".

    A quick glance at the chassis parts to be replaced, chassis straightening, welding, bushings to be replaced, control arms, sway bar and drop links, body parts, sensors, paint, etc places the repair bill in the $55k-$70k range.

    I would say that a repaired Scuderia with a Salvage Title properly repaired, compared to the same car without any repairs is a $30k price difference on the used market, and it will be harder to sell the car with a salvage tittle.

    A pristine 08 in White with 4,400 miles would fetch $181k in the current market. Same car with a Salvage title and a proper repair should be valued at $151k.

    The White crashed Scuderia at $81k or less, is a fair deal, not a good deal just fair. Any $ over $81k is working against the buyer, without considering other costs as time spent, and hidden damages.

    Personally, I would not offer more than $70k for it.
