And after you check out its history in Kerrys site, there are pictures of the aftermath of that important event in its history to be found here or on on Tom Yangs site I can not remember which, tagged alloy wheels

    WOW!!!

It's always good to look at the history of anything you buy. Not a "gift horse" exactly, but looking at this one in the mouth, was a prudent thing to do. Great research!
    Very pretty car, though.

I have taken a close look at this car. And also know the history. Naples Motorsports is very open and will tell you what you need to know about it. It does have nice curb appeal and sounds good. I did not drive it though.

the real question is was it fixed properly? if so, it could be a great car. it definitely looks nice. i don't know about the total damage from the accident other than the cosmetic damage seen from when it occurred

That is a great color for that model. However, I am a little worried when I see black spray painted, dented mufflers, wires and other under body details. Not saying it isn't a good car, but, at that price, I'd expect all details attended to. Also, it seems that the rear end sits a bit too high in relation to the front?

Rear bumper appears to be from a series I. Nice to see one that far gone come back, but someone must be waaaay under water.

I thought the only difference in the bumpers were the additional bumper guard holes (for the guards)? And those can drilled or filled and no one would know the difference...No?

So... I'm just wondering... what are the opinions of the knowledgable Ferrari experts on a car like this?

Yes, I saw the pictures of the damage, and I saw restored car pictures on ebay (not in person of course). So this one has been wrecked/salvaged/rebuilt/onsale. But, I'm sure there are a number of older "vintage" ferraris that have been in similar or worse condition, the GTO in the high school field comes to mind.

Does a "history" like this really effect the car that much? I know its a "lowly" 330 and yeah, I understand it effect the resale some and it also depends on the quality of the restoration.

I'm just curious, not that I can afford the car, but if someone was interested in the car, and the price reflected the history and it was a decent restoration, would any of you real Ferrari experts be interested in this car or would this be subjegated to be a black sheep.

    Again, just curious.

If I recall, the correct bumper would have a V-shaped cross-section, not the U-shape shown.

They all look great in pictures. It reminds me of the car I bought that looked this good in the pictures. 150K and 3 years later I know have the car I thought I bought. Easy to be upside down on this model if you don't get a good one. It cost the same,if not more to restore this car as it is to do a 15 million dollar 250 gto. Parts are the same price, labor rates the same. The car does look great.

Sure is a very pretty car.
Just some simple math: A total resto of a car like this would involve, say, 1500 man hours? Even at 50 USD/hour that exceeds the current bid. If it's done properly, the car would be a great deal. I haven't seen the pics mentioned, and there are some telltales, but I'd be proud to have it in my garage. Colour is stunning on a 330.

At least for the front bumpers that isn't the case - the series one is obviously a single piece, but the series two front bumper is made from three distinct pieces, bolted together under the overriders. The series one is quite a bit lighter too, just enough to hold up the chrome.

    Cheers,
    JB

Series II cars have rear bumpers in three sections.
The two over riders hide where the sections fit together.

The trunk inner lining looks cheap. My car (8855) has a
black, rather deep (1/4") pile nice carpet that lines the trunk.

The electric window rocker switches on the center console
    look weird.

The rear of the car also looked weird to me, but I could not
place the problem until I looked at the picture that Ed Niles
posted. The car is missing the two red reflectors that are
inboard of the two red stop/brake lights.
