What do you think the car would be worth with a ferrari drivetrain?

This car was being offered on eBay in January 2012, out of Cleveland. The auction ended early when the current owner made an off-eBay offer of $28,500. I don't think the eBay auction would have gone that high. According to the previous owner, it was a driver. But he did not own it for long or drive it very much at all. So the existence and extent of other "needs" was unknown. It's safe to assume that this car had/has its share of such needs.

In other words, an '83 400i cab conversion, with automatic, in driver condition, would have sold for less than $28,500 on eBay, in early 2012. I don't think the market has improved much in the meantime.
