I converted both front and rear brakes to those sold by superformance uk. I have been trying to bleed the brakes. I saw that fluid came out from the bleeders. However, when I pump brake pedal, the pedal went to the floor. I thought there was still air in the brake line and continued to bleed for, let's say, a day, but the situation has not been improved. I use a vacuum machine for the breeding. Is there any tip for successful breeding? Or do I have any other trouble for the brake systems? Thanks in advance.

Where did the master come from? Did you rebuild it? There are three, not two, different sizes of seals for 308 masters. I had a similar problem until I discovered that I had rebuilt the master with seals which were very slightly too small. That problem aside, I suggest gravity bleeding first and then pumping each corner with speedbleeders or an assistant opening and closing the bleed valve. You may also consider a pressure bleeder, but be careful and keep the pressure low i.e below 10PSI.

Never had much luck with vacuum either, pressure bleeding and old fashioned pumping with a helper has always worked for me.

Are the bleeder ports on the top of the calipers? At least for the stock Ate calipers, it is possible to mount front right caliper on the front left wheel (and left on right) which puts the bleeder ports on the bottom of the calipers and would make it impossible to bleed the brakes.

Hi, I have Superformance aftermarkets on all four corners on my GT4. I bled them a month or so back without problems. Bleed ports on the top of each caliper. I used my old Gunson Ezibleed kit which worked a treat. Not sure this helps other than I don't believe there is anything unusual about the Superformance set up.

    The first question is: Which model are we talking about - 308 (208) GT4, 308 (208) GTB/GTS or 328 GTB/GTS?

The next question is: When you say you "converted both front and rear brakes to those sold by superformance uk", exactly what parts did you replace on the car?

As other's have mentioned already, make sure the calipers are on the right sides of the car (bleed nipples at the top), check all the connections are tightened correctly (not loose/cross threaded or over-tightened) and, from a personal point of view, I'd go with an old fashioned two-man bleeding operation, rather than a vacuum method - It just simplifies things.

Thanks. Just after posting this, I found the front side calipers were upside down.
    The problem has been resolved.
It was 81 308 GTSi, imported from the US about 30 years ago.

Right after posting, I realized that the front calipers were up side down. I reinstalled them and everything went well. Thanks!

I wonder if I correctly attached the rear calipers to the body. If you could check the photo and help me, I would greatly appreciate. I sent the photo to the Superformance and asked them to verify, but surprisingly they said that they cannot. Image Unavailable, Please Login
