Another Swatch "collaboration": this time Blancpain

Kind of surprised people are still buying into the hype of these sorts of things. At least this one is mechanical though.

 

Looks like a typical 50 fathoms with some weird bands and goofy paint (anyone remember the orange or yellow FF? Hard to give away ) Definitely not the Bathyscape . Another questionable design .
Love my 50. Love it too much and don’t wear it .
Blancpain has been owned by Swatch for awhile .
Is swatch trying to elevate their other brands by attaching itself to Blancpain ?
Like the Chrysler “Maserati” which did no favor to either ?

 

After a bit of research I'm TOTALLY pissed with Swatch on this deal !
They sold out the Blancpain name of which I used to love and collect.
A real (non-Bathyscape) Fifty fathoms runs over 10K.
These are 400 bucks and look like the exact same watch painted green / blue etc.
I might sell my Blancpain collection before these stunts make them pennies on the dollar.
Moral of the story; DONT TRUST SWATCH !!! Never again !
Which of their brands is next ?

 

I doubt real watches will drop in value because of this. I don't think the Omega market is down much.

 

I bought a moonswatch... I like it.

 

I went for a Saturn MoonSwatch but won’t spring for one of these.
